Larry Broderick
A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Aspen Hall in Shevlin Park in Bend for Larry Broderick of Bend, formerly of Eugene, who died Sept. 9 of complications from cancer treatment. He was 67.
He was born Aug. 10, 1942, in Eugene to Charles and Margaret Bennett Broderick. He married Corinne Abendroth on March 23, 1969, in Eugene.
He graduated from Pleasant Hill High School and earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Oregon. He managed restaurants in the Eugene area before moving to Bend, where he was director of human resources at St. Charles Medical Center. He opened his own labor relations consulting business in 1980.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jeff Broderick of Portland; two daughters, Melissa Eaton and Becky Boyd, both of Bend; two brothers, Pat Broderick of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Bob Broderick of Eugene; and four grandchildren.
Arrangements by Onoranze Funebri Toscane S.P.A., in Italy. Remembrances to the St. Charles Foundation or the High Desert Museum historical collections, both in Bend.
Larry married Corinne Abendroth, daughter of Telore William Abendroth and Dorothy Helen Moorhead.
