D. Ray Wenger
Dies at 58

Ray Wenger, 96 w. High St., Annville, died suddenly last evening in the Harrisburg Hospital. He was 58.

Born in Annville, he was the son of Ida Boyer Wenger, Annville, and the late Daniel Wenger.

He worked as chief of the building division of the Pa. Dept. of Labor and Industry, Bureau of Occupational in Industrial Safety.

He was a member of the Fairland Brethren in Christ Church, Cleona, and of it's teh Pioneers Sunday school class. He was a former Sunday school teacher and for 25 years he served as church secretary. he was a former member of the board of the Kenbrook Bible Camp and was a member and past president of the Annville Rotary Club. He was a 1936 graduate of Lebanon High School.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mary Zinn Wenger; two sons, D. Ray Jr., Hamilton Twp., N.J.; Carlin, Harrisburg; three grandchildren; one brother, the Rev. Eugene, Alamosa, Colo.; two sisters, Lois Herr, Carlisle; Mildred, wife of William Reese, Annville.

D. Ray Wenger

Funeral services were held this morning in the Fairland Brethren in christ Chursch for D. Ray Wenger, 96 W. High St., Annville. He was the husband of Mary Zinn Wenger.

The Rev. John R. Yeatts officiated. Interment was in Fairland Brethren in Christ Cemetery with William Reese, Charles Hilton, William Granger, Harry Meyer R., Roy Ebersole and Theodore Books serving as pallbearers. The Kreamer Funeral Home, Annville, had charge of arrangements.

D. married Mary C. Zinn, daughter of Percy Zinn and Lillian. (Mary C. Zinn was born on 5 Dec 1918 in Pine Grove, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA and died on 6 Aug 2001 in Annville, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, USA.)
