Kenneth R. Buch
Kenneth R. Buch, 84, died at Fairmount Retirement Community, West Earl Twp., on Sunday, October 16th.
He was born in Vogansville to the late Leon and Ida (Ream) Buch.
Ken was the husband of the late Verna (Hilton) Buch who died in 1991.
Mr. Buch was an active member of the Brickerville United Lutheran Church, where he was on the property committee and assisted in the care of the church's cemetery.
A veteran of WWII, Ken was a member of the U.S. Army serving in the Pacific.
He was employed for many years at RAMARK, Inc. in Manheim in the maintenance department.
Ken was a member of Cocalico Post #3376 VFW, Ephrata and the American Legion Garden Spot Post #56, Lititz.
He enjoyed hunting, watching TV-especially the Nashville Channel- driving his Chevys, bus trips and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandsons, who always brightened his day with their visits.
Surviving are his son, Kenneth Buch, married to Patricia (Buchhalter) Buch of Lancaster; a granddaughter, Kristin, married to Darryl Woerner of Marietta; a grandson, James Buch of Columbia and two great-grandsons, Alexander and Logan Woerner.
Also surviving are his sister, Ida Buch Mahoney; his brother, Cletus, husband of Betty Buch and a half-brother, David Buch.
Ken was preceded in death by two brothers: Leon Buch, Jr. and Douglas Buch.
Funeral services at the Wheat Ridge Chapel of Fairmount Homes Retirement Community, W.
Earl Twp., on Thursday, Oct. 20th at 11 AM with Rev.
Cliff Hanus officiating.
Friends are invited to call at the chapel on the morning of the service from 9:30-11 AM.
Interment will be in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Brickerville with military honors accorded by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard.
