DEATH NOTICE / CLASSIFIED

Whelma Jane Fink (nee Seiders)

Whelma Jane Fink (nee Seiders), 75, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 7, 1997, after a long illness.
Born in Elizabethtown, Pa., she had resided in Akron for over 30 years, and was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Fink was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Russell S. Fink Sr.; sons, Russell S. (Justina) Fink Jr. of Lancaster, Pa., Byron L. (Cynthia) Fink Sr., Eric C. (Barbara) Fink, Robin R. Fink, and Gary L. (Patricia) Fink, all of Akron; daughters, Donna V. Engle of Puerto Rico, Sharon Kay Shaffer of Lititz, Pa.; 19 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, 1:30 p.m., at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2254 Triplett Blvd., Akron, with Rev. Michael S. Meleg officiating. Burial at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. TODAY; and also from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church on Friday. Whelma married Russell S Fink, son of Christian Buch Fink and Caroline Saylor, in 1940.^{1 2} (Russell S Fink was born on 10 Feb 1916 in Manheim, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA ^{2 3} and died on 13 Sep 2002 in Lititz, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA ^{2 3}.)
