Helen M. Geib, 83, former assembler

Helen M. Geib, 83, of the Mennonite Home, 1520 Harrisburg Pike, died there Saturday morning after a short illness.

Formerly of Manheim, she had lived at the home since 1989. She was the wife of Elwood M. Geib, who died in 1975.

For many years she worked as an assembler for the former U.S. Asbestos Co. in Manheim.

Following that, she worked as a clerk for the former Don's News Agency, Manheim.

Mrs. Geib was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim. Mrs. Geib enjoyed fishing, especially in the Peach Bottom area, and traveling to the mountains.

Born in Penn Township, she was the daughter of the late Harry B. and Minnie Firestone Sheaffer.

She is survived by a son, Eugene S. of Milroy; and two daughters, Shirley A., wife of Harry Finefrock of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Gloria F., wife of Thomas H. Sprecher of Mount Gretna.

Also surviving are five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Elmer Engle of Cornwall; and two sisters, Grace Wright of Lancaster and Minerva, wife of Joseph Norris Jr. of Gap.

Helen married Elwood M. Geib. (Elwood M. Geib died in 1975 in Talmage, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA.)
