JACOB B. SINGER DEAD
Jacob B. Singer died on Wednesday afternoon at his home in Elizabethtown after a short illness. He was confined to the house for only five days with an affliction of the heart. He was a resident of Manheim borough for many years. There he was engaged in the bakery and confectionary business and was for several years superintendent of the water works. He was a member of the town council and school teacher for several years. At the time of his death he was in the employ of the Pennsylvania railroad as engineer, in the improvements being made at Elizabethtown. Mr. Singer was a member of the German Baptist denomination.
His wife and these children survive; Fanny, wife of H. M. Frey, Manheim; Harry, Lancaster; Margaret, Minnie, Elizabeth, Kate, Walter and William, Elizabethtown. His funeral will take place tomorrow morning, with interment at Kreider's meeting house.
Jacob married Elizabeth White, daughter of Benjamin White and Veronica Fanny Hilton, before 1873 in Talmage, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA.
