J. LEON GROFF, 79, RCA SUPERVISOR
J. Leon Groff, 79, of 426 Friendship Ave., died Thursday at Moravian Manor, Lititz, after a brief illness.
He was a supervisor and tool and die maker for the former RCA Corp., retiring in 1981. Groff was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Lancaster, where he was in the men's Bible class.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps.
Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Benjamin R. and Elsie Steinman Groff.
He was married 47 years in October to Lucille D. Grebinger Groff.
Surviving besides his wife are two brothers, Jay of Gasport, N.Y., and Robert of Kennett Square; and two sisters, Joan Schaefnocker of Boothwyn and Arlene Schreiber of Lititz.
James married Lucille Dorothy Grebinger.
