Deceased Name: Florence 'Bobbie' Long, 84, candymaker
Florence "Bobbie" Long, 84, of Willow Street, died of natural causes Sunday at Lancaster General Hospital.
She worked at Keppel's Inc. of Lancaster as a candymaker.
A member of Willow Street United Church of Christ, Mrs. Long enjoyed working with children and formerly taught Sunday and Bible school classes.
She also enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, cross-stitching and traveling to Florida.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Susan Hilton Ditzler.
Her husband, John H. Long Sr., died in 1973.
Surviving are a son, John H. Jr. of Sarasota, Fla.; a daughter, Deborah Lee Long of Willow Street; and a brother, Hayden Ditzler of Reseda, Calif.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Naomi Desmond, Ruth Watson and Sarah Sourweine; and four brothers, Leroy, Abraham, Edward and Harry Ditzler.
Florence married John Long. (John Long was born on 16 Feb 1900 and died in Dec 1973 in Talmage, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA.)
